According to reports, the first batch of rescue workers arrived at the meeting with the local police station. More than half an hour later, the rescuers identified the location of the man asking for help to make a call and should be in the nearby village of Dagou. “There is exactly one base station near the village. At the same time, rescue workers suspected that the phone might be in arrears, and charged the department with a partial phone bill. However, when rescue workers called back, they were hung up after being connected three times in succession. At the fourth call, they were turned off. Yuan Shan said that at the time, in order to eliminate the possibility of mischief, the police station of the local police carried out door-to-door inspections of several neighboring villages. However, no match was found until 3:00 a.m. yesterday.

Whether or not to ask for help

Yesterday at 3:30 in the morning, after consultation, a joint rescue team consisting of civilian rescue workers, police stations, and fire brigades decided to proceed to search and rescue on the mountain. During the search, the three groups of rescue personnel kept shaking the flashlight and shouted to try to find help. However, there was no response from the black-painted mountains. Only a few white lights swept back and forth in the night sky.

Until 5:00 am, rescue workers conducted a comprehensive search for the barren hills near the village. They still decided to evacuate after finding no clues.

According to Huairou Police, at present, they are still searching for the whereabouts of the helpers. As to whether this may be "false help," the police said that further investigation is needed.
